Cartoon ad created for Advantage Technology

Feb

When the folks at Advantage Technology wanted to make a fun and entertaining movie to share with their customers and attract new ones, they gave The Media Center a call. The Media Center is the only video production studio in West Virginia that can produce the kind of fun, character driven computer animation that really tells a story.

Pre-visualization with computer animation

Dec
20

Pre-visualization is the use of computer animation to visualize something before it actually exists. Often it's used with architecture like the example presented here. This animation was developed as part of a fund raising video for the West Virginia Sport Museum and Hall of Fame, so we needed to go beyond just creating a true-to-life representation of the final building. We needed imagery that would fire the imagination and get people excited!

Dropout prevention video produced for the Education Alliance

Aug
02

This video contains two clips from a long form video The Media Center produced for the Education Alliance. The entire video is about 12 minutes long and is designed to be played for community organizations. It explores the causes of dropouts with interviews of students and community leaders and acts as a launching point for discussions of how to help.

Many thanks to Julie Pratt and Emily Schoen for giving us the opportunity to work on this important project. It was our great pleasure to work with such caring and dedicated people.

"Single Member Districts" - WV Chamber

Jul
07

The WV Chamber came to The Media Center with a bit of a quandary. How do you illustrate the uneven distribution of WV delegates, compare that to the rest of the United States where all but one other state has even distribution of delegates, explain that nine counties don't have a delegate, point out that if this isn't changed now then it'll be 10 years before the issues can be revisited and give a call to action all in an attention grabbing 30 seconds?

We put our heads together with our friends at The WV Chamber and Gallagher Consulting and developed this spot.

Joe Justice featured in The WV Record on forensic animation

May

Back in April I had the opportunity to be the subject of an article in The West Virginia Record, a local legal journal. The reporter was Kyla Asbury. We met, had lunch and I talked her ear off about animation for a few hours. Little known fact, I can talk anyone's ear off about animation... okay, maybe that's actually a well known fact. A few weeks after this the article came out on the cover page, above the fold, which I consider a real honor.

Joe Justice speaks at the Putnam Rotary Luncheon

I had the opportunity to speak at the Putnam Rotary club's luncheon on Tuesday, March 1st. It was a great crowd, with lots of friendly people. They gave me a nice little write-up on their website as well. I'm just happy to know they thought what I had to say was actually interesting.
